Diskeeper Lite: Defragment Tool that is faster and more efficient than the Windows built-in disk defragmenter. (Windows only)

Firefox: Excellent Web Browser that is less susceptible to spyware and other forms of malware (Somewhat debatable, but I believe it’s true in my experience).
 
Extract Now: For extracting ZIP, RAR, and other compressed files. (Windows only)
 
Foxit Reader: Great alternative, replacement for Adobe Reader. Smaller and Faster than Adobe Reader. No endless Adobe updates. Lighter and more efficient. (Windows only)
 
Open Office: Compatible with Microsoft Office; comes with word processor, spreadsheet, and other office style programs.
 
VLC Media Player: Plays virtually all video formats.
 
Quicktime Alternative: Play quicktime without the official product. (Windows only)
 
Real Alternative: Play Real Player files without the official product. Lighter and more efficient. (Windows only)
 
GAIM: Instant Messaging client that works with AOL messenger, Yahoo messenger, MSN messenger, and more.
 
Skype: Free PC to PC calls (with video if you have a web cam).
 
Bitcomet: Wonderful Bit Torrent client. (Windows only)
 
Daemon Tools: For mounting ISO and various other image formats. (Windows only)
 
GIMP: Alternative to Photoshop. Somewhat difficult to use if you’re not familiar with Photoshop. Takes some time to relearn if you are familiar with Photoshop.
 
DVD Shrink: Shrink dvds for burning on single layer 4.7 dvd-r’s or dvd+r’s. (Windows only) Use legally and wisely. I don’t condone piracy.
 
DVD Decrypter: Burn and Decrypt dvds. (Windows only) Use legally and wisely. I don’t condone piracy.
 
RipIt4Me: For ripping more modern or stubborn dvds, requires DVD Shrink and DVD Decrypter. (Windows only) Use legally and wisely. I don’t condone piracy.
 
Virtual Dub Mod: Great for editing video files. (Windows only)
 
Audacity: Great for editing and capturing audio files.

 http://www.media-convert.com/  Use this site to convert practically any file format to any other file format. (Files must be smaller than 150MB)

Adblock Plus: Block almost any ad on a web page.
 
Fasterfox: Speed up web page loading and you can enable prefetching.

Google Preview: Preview any search result when searching on Google or Yahoo.
 
Image Zoom: Zoom on images.
 
Noscript: Block scripting on pages and only allow from trusted sites. For Experienced Users. Can be annoying if you don’t know what you are doing.
 
Save Image In Folder: Easily save images in the folder you specified, with a right click menu.
 
Skype Extension for Firefox: Dial phone numbers embedded on web pages. (Useful if you paid for landline calls with Skype.)
 
Tab Effect: Cool 3D effect with Tabs (requires Direct 8X and only works on Windows.)
 
Tab Preview: Preview a page by moving your mouse over the Tab box.
 
Unplug: Save Embedded videos in webpages like Youtube.
